Today Rata and Rimu blocks went to see a puppet show called Rupert written by Peter Wilson and presented by the Little Dog Barking theatre company....

The story was about a stork carrying a baby when she gets caught in a storm.

The suitcase carrying the baby is blown out of the storks hold.

The wind carried the suitcase way across the water until it came to rest on a small island. Rupert, the small baby inside the suitcase peeped out into his new world on bird island.

A passing Tui thought he was some sort of flightless bird and offers to help him, a kiwi joins him and together try to help Rupert discover who is and where he came from.

Rupert was a story about friendship, differences, and finding out who we are and where we belong.
