Changing Matter.....

 For our Science experiment today we made jelly.....

 We put the jelly crystals in the bowl. 
The jelly crystals disappeared when we put the 
hot water in the bowl. 
It changed colour. It smelled like oranges. 
We put the jelly liquid in the jelly cups. 
Lastly we put the jelly cups in the fridge. 

 We learned the jelly powder dissolved in the water. 
The jelly was a liquid and the jelly we ate was a solid.

Toast, chocolate......... What's next?....

Yesterday we did a fun experiment with chocolate......

First we put a chocolate button into a plastic bag

Next we drew what the chocolate looked like and circled on our sheet whether it was a solid or liquid.

Then we held the the bag between our hands and waited for 2 minutes.....

What is happening.........
Max said, the chocolate feels soft.
The chocolate was changing from a solid to a liquid

Finally we put the bag in the freezer. The freezer was very cold........

Today we looked in the freezer.....

What had happened???

It is hard

What changes chocolate from a solid to a liquid then back to a solid..........

Heating and cooling changed the chocolate.

Today we had three special visitors in our class.

Ronin (with his Mum) and Emily came for a school visit. 

We made paper bag puppets.
